March on To 2015

OH MY ..... 2015!!

And no posts for 2015........it has been a busy time I GUESS!!  Actually, the beginning of this year did start off with a bang so to speak.  Our New Year's Eve was great.  We had dear daughter and family over for a crab leg dinner, and then we had Nerf Gun wars, and then we went to our TV Time's Square and awaited the fall of the crystal ball!!  xxx&ooo's ensued ~ welcoming in 2015.

During the next few weeks of January it became more and more apparent that our dear daughter in law was experiencing some kind of interruption in her health.....her timelines were off kilter; she had unexplained weight gain, extreme fatigue, blurriness in her vision and finally - her mind wasn't processing correctly, making her almost seem to be in a state of demential symptoms.  After a trip to a neurologist, she was seen within two days by a neurosurgeon and having surgery to remove a brain tumor a week later.  This took place on Febr. 5th, and she was able to come home on Febr. 10th, beginning a journey of recovery from having brain surgery.  On Febr. 18th, on the way home from spending the morning with dear D-I-L, I found out DH was in the emergency room!!  This turned into a 6 day stay in the hospital for dear hubby - being treated for post-Lymes Disease and being monitored for having a pacemaker inserted..  He came home with a PICC line in and 14 days of IV antibiotic treatment, and spending a day with a 24 hour Holter (sp) heart monitor.  The gyst of all this is that he is free of any Lyme's bacteria and is on a 6 month wait on the pacemaker, borrowing no symptoms of dizziness, light headed-ness. or fainting.

Four weeks later, and at the end of the month of March, it seems things are beginning to slide back into some kind of  normalcy.  Angie still deals with adjusting to the effects of a damaged pituitary gland ( which is all remedied with medications for various issues resulting from a compromised pituitary gland).  Mike continues with normal activity, but his pulse rate remains at a lower number -
not as low as the reading that put him into the hospital though.  I am grateful to and thankful to God everyday for bringing these two special people from those frightening days of concern and uncertainty, to healthier days.

During Mike's hospital stay, I managed to have a crown come off (while eating wild rice soup of all things!).  That ensued in a renewed crown prep, and new crown.  Not a big deal in the realm of it all, but one month later I still have pain in my jaw and cheek.  Trying to see if it all settles down without a trip back to the dentist.....and nothing major!!

So today, March 30, the sun has finally come out and the temperatures are warming up - SPRING
seems to be on its way.  Easter  is just around the corner (Sunday).  We will be hosting the holiday at our home and I think a Easter Egg Hunt is in order ~

I left a few comments on a blog of a former teacher at a yarn shop that I loved and she visited my blog, leaving comments for me.  I was a little embarrassed that those posts were from a LONG time AGO, so maybe it has given me enough inspiration to keep on with my postings.....only time will tell.
I am not so sure that my day to day bumblings are that interesting to anyone else but moi, but that is ok  I don't keep a diary anymore LOL

I am going to try and talk DH into going to my fav....Starbucks....for a Birthday Cake Frappaccino when he gets home.  They are half off until 5pm.......

HAPPY LATTE EVERYONE !!!
